Wouldn't it be fun to ride this train out to pick strawberries? Strawberries fresh from the field are the best!

Just two or three more weeks and the strawberries here will be ripe.

Brisk for a Saturday in Late May/ Ruby Tuesday

A bright but cool day at Lake Scugog

It was too cool for gardening (besides the ground was damp) but perfect for a road trip to Peterborough to visit some favourite bookstores. On the return trip we stopped at Port Perry to admire Lake Scugog and check out what was happening there. Lots of people were fishing, walking the boardwalk and taking in the sights. EVERYONE had a jacket on. What's with the crazy weather?
