April at the Locks/ Shadow Shot Sunday

Canada goose (and it's shadow) about to jump in for a swim in the canal

In another month the Trent-Severn Waterway will open for boat traffic. Meanwhile Canada geese enjoy the canal for themselves.

Shadows on the tables and grass

And tree shadows fall on  tables, turned up so winter snow and debris can slide off.

Marvelous shadow shots for the day! Love the goose! I got pictures of several of those as they passed through Seattle last week. Love the water in your last shot! Hope you have a great weekend!

The goose can be a pest at times, but there is no denying that it stands tall, handsome and proud. We await warm weather and the tables to be setup for picnicking along the canal under the sky. Lovely!

Finally a person that calls the goose by it's proper name Canada, not Canadian...and what a beautiful avian study this water fowl makes...good job, nice catch!

I have to go out this week and get some shadow shots so I can play too!

The upturned picnic benches also probably keep the geese from perching up there and leaving their marks all over!

Great closeup capture of Mr. Goose!

I like the design created by the upturned picnic tables.

Happy shadow seeking this week!

Nice shadow shots! The wood picnic table is very inviting too.

You learn something new every day – I would never have thought of the need to angle tables up in winter for snow to fall off!

Soon those tables will create a shadow elsewhere and have multiple shadows with them. Thanks for visiting today, I appreciate it. Joan

The geese have been busy here arguing over which part of the pond is the best territory...I do like them, but am in the minority here on that one....Michelle
