Gosh, I feel tired just looking at that stark set of stairs . . . great shadows, though :-)
I've been there! We went through the locks one day a few years ago. I have family at Port Severn, lovely country there.
I love stairs. Well, I should say I love photographing stairs. Not so much climbing them. Although this would be a good aerobic workout!
The shadows contribute to the feeling of height. In fact, to me the shadows add a dimension of steep to the already too-many steps, making our climb seem all the taller to the summit...
I'd like to get my tights on and run up and down! I bet you could lose some pounds on those stairs if you did that every morning (lol)!! Must be a pretty little place.
The shadows create an incredible dizzy effect highlighting the sharp incline! Wonderful shot!
