Well, we have a negligee tree on the ski slope here in Breckenridge. Some of these shoes look brand new! I like the idea of a "shoe tree!" Great mosaic.
That is too funny. It really leaves one to ponder the what and why. And colorful ones too! I'd love to see the whole tree too, must be a sight going down the road.
Well, I looked on LD's link (thank you LD) but I'm none the wiser :-) I must say I don't think it's a particularly attractive thing to do though I quite liked the tree that looked as though the shoes had been nailed to the trunk! Great capture :-)
We have 2 shoe trees near us but they're not hanging - they are nailed right to the trunk of the tree. What you found takes talent to get them hanging just so! :-) Judith
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

That's funny. I've heard of a place like this somewhere out in America's southwest, but I'm not exactly sure where.
I kind of like those pink shoes, it's a shame that they're stuck up in the tree like that. :)
Now that is different instead of flowers the trees has shoes. Neat photo!
I suppose that is a REAL shoe tree not one found in a closet. LOL
Good eye and good shot EG. MB
whimsical! I actually "googled" and found what looks like a cultural trend here: http://www.roadtripamerica.com/roadside/shoetrees.htm

What a good mosiac. You picked up on this crazy trend of shoes hanging from hydro and telephone lines. Very clever. Valerie
What a neat idea for the mosaic, the pictures are great. Have a wonderful week and take care.

Happy MM!
That's interesting! I also why and who hung the shoes on the tree like that!

A local lady entered her found shoe collection in our county fair and won a blue ribbon. Fun pictures!

Very interesting and they are hung in pairs. I see a few good ones...hehehehe, not my size (6.5).
Gotta love a bit of whimsy. Hanging shoes..JUST BECAUSE!

Wonderful and whimsical! Thanks so much for sharing. :)
I love it! Was this near Midland Ontario? I saw a similar display there a few summers back.
