Oak Leaves/ Mosaic Monday

Oak leaves, Bobcageon, Ontario

Some of the oaks in the Kawarthas (a region northeast of Toronto) have turned from green to yellow, oranges and reds. And due to high winds, a few leaves have already fallen to the ground.

Wonderful fall mosaic! The fall colors are gorgeous. It is still somewhat warm here and the trees are mostly still green.

Nice leaves with great color. the whole collage is great looking.
The Oak Leaves here always seem the last to turn and then they are outstanding. MB

I love seeing the different proportions and lay0outs people use for their mosaics.
Leaves are best, don't you think?
Nice?

Love the oak leaves Tina. Very few grow in our area but I've noticed them in forested areas of Barrie.
Their shape has always fascinated me so I bought a cookie cutter oak leaf long ago.

These must be red oaks. Am I right? The oaks we grow here in Alberta are burr oaks and they turn yellow then brown before falling. Still lovely trees but I love the colour! Nice mosaic!

The thing I miss most about Ontario is the dramatic change of season - the red maples, especially.
