One Ringy Dingy/ Window Views

Not everyone has a cell phone. Telephone booths are still useful

Who remembers Lily Tomlin on Laugh-in as a switchboard operator?  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out this video

I see the booth but where's the phone. And if there is a phone is there still a phone book. It seems every phone booth has the book ripped out. MB

MB and Lesley,

If this is like the phone booth I checked out today in another town, the phone is on the corner, actually facing kitty-corner, and there is NO PHONE BOOK! :)

"Is this the party to whom I am speaking?" And pay phones are hard to find around here, with or without a booth.

Very nice pic! In France there aren't such beautiful booths! Alas!

I like the old phone booths but a mobile phone is preferable on a cold (the wind seemed to whistle through)

I always wanted my own phone booth. Today it would be nice to see more of them and hear less public conversations.
