Pumpkin/ Shadow Shot

Shadow on pumpkin in a field

Sadly, many pumpkins are left in the fields to decompose, but I guess we need only so many jack-o'-lanterns and pumpkin pies.

Excellent shot, EG. So artistic and colorful too.
Who can resist the brightness of a pumpkin and the bonus of shadow grass. MB

A lovely shadow shot! Over here any pumpkins left after Halloween are left in the fields to rot - perhaps we need a campaign to encourage people to eat them!!

This gourd has the classic, harvest-y orange. The pies are a tasty byproduct of this fruit (or veggie, I know not for sure...). Of course, a decomposing pumpkin is a fine fertilizer, so all is not lost as they wither away...

The orange color in your shadow shot is wonderful. I love pumpkins! And pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin muffins, and pumpkin puree for my babies! Can't get enough pumpkin!

Wonderful shot! The shadows look so good against the orange pumpkin. I suppose as they decompose they give goodness back to the ground.

Delightful, delicate shadow.
But there can never be too many pumpkin pies. Pumpkin is also nice as a vegetable, like squash. Not as much flesh per cubic inch of seed squish, however.

We had so much rain all summer and spring, our Iowa pumpkin crop rotted in the fields, they had to be shipped in from Wisconsin...strange weather year...but what a beautiful shot!
