The Great White North is inundated with snow, which looks and feels cold. Yet the sun above warms the frame up a bit, the grasses remind us of warmer seasons and the shadows are striking. As cold and snowy as it is, the warmth of the sun lets us feel alive!
It seems like only yesterday we were all taking shots of the snowfalls, then on to our beautiful summer flowers...where has the time flown to...back to the snow again, though it's ice in my neck o the woods. The salt trucks are making never ending runs up and down the 4-lane...it must be winter again!
Nice shot. A beautiful crisp snow makes a lovely shadow background. The weatherman is forecasting snow here for tonight, maybe I will find a shadow in the snow. Hopefully before the animals and the kids find it. Thanks for sharing.
I heard on the news that eastern Canada is bracing for another snow storm tomorrow. I hope it is moderate for all concerned. Nice shadows in this photo.
Name change: Originally, I started this blog to show the world what a wow place East Gwillimbury is. But I have wandered well beyond EG's borders! EG is still in my name as I am still based there. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Snow, the perfect backdrop for shadows.
I'm not a fan of snow but there is something almost soothing about the purity of untrampled snow...beautiful photo, EG!
We are so often on the same wavelength...
Such a lovely shot - even if it is snow! We are expecting some tomorrow -we have been spared all the snow of the past week!

Beautiful tracery. The real and the shadow intermingle delightfully.

I'm letting my imagination tell me that that is white sand so I don't feel the chill of the snow! Love the graceful lines imparted from the grass.

Beautiful, curling, wispy lines of shadow etched in the snow! Enchanting photo!

Grass on Snow is a lovely composition for ShadowShot Sunday! Have a good day.
