Brrr/ Barn Charm

Facing into the wind on a chilly day

I think these brave souls were wishing they could be indoors.  Maybe they should have moved in closer to the barn. (Hint, hint)

I love this photo. I love barns, especially red barns and horses too! Perfect!

That's a pretty barn, but I'd want to be inside if I was one of those horses. Looks cold!

It kind of looks like that gate into the barn is open and the horses could get inside, but they look like they have pretty good winter coats. Looks like they are having a bit of a coffee klatch.

I know it's ridiculous but I always feel sorry for animals that have to live outdoors. Horses, cows, sheep can all be housed when required, but deer and fox, badger and squirrel and all the birds have to brave it out.
Nonetheless, it's a lovely photo - when do horses look other than beautiful?

Beautiful shot of a beautiful farm. I've often wondered about animals left out in the cold...I know they can freeze to death, but how much cold can they stand? And how much pain do they go through standing out there like this?

Down here, when it gets chilly, people cover their horses with blankets!
