Faux Leaves/ Shadow Shot

Shadows of lacy leaves

It was a cold winter day but the sun shone on this south-facing balcony decorated with metallic leaves creating leafy shadows.

A rather elaborate way of decorating a balcony, but I like it. And you're always good with shadows. I like shadows...'cause I can sneak around and shoot unsuspecting people with my camera from the shadows! ;-)

What a great collage. I didn't even see the shadows at first. I thought everything was just lacy looking, but I looked again---very clever. You rascal. MB

The leaves are lovely in and of themselves (even if they aren't Canadian red :)

The leaf harvest is great in subject and shadow. Let's hope for spring and maple leaves in the trees...

Oh, I do love the leave shadows! How delightful! And wonderful to discover them on a cold day -- a promise of spring! Terrific captures as always. Enjoy your weekend!

Great find, and a great shadowy shot! They lolok they could be cast from a tree if we didn't see the metal. Good to stop by and see you again. I have been missing from the SSS these past few weeks. Nice to behold the photos you post.

Peace.

IF SHADOWS COULD TALK

If shadows could talk,
Just what would they say?
If you listen close,
You’ll hear them, you may.
Shadows do chatter
And gossip and talk
In the store windows,
Along the sidewalk,
Over the mountains,
On prairie and plain,
Begging for sunshine
And not days of rain;
Emboldened by light,
The stark shadows say:
“We’re out for a lark,
Please join us at play!”

makes for very artsy shadow shots! I love how that blue in the windows contrast against the white of the walls punctuated by the patterned leaf shadows.
Excellent!
