The Roxy/ Signs, Signs

Movie Theatre, Uxbridge, Ontario

The Roxy looks old, but today you can see new and/or old movies  seven days a week, which include weekend and holiday matinees. And in summer they show family films during the day and a teen film on Fridays...as well as films for adults.

Sadly, I have never seen a movie here. Hmmm.  Maybe something needs to be done about THAT! To see what's playing NOW,  click HERE

even here, most of the free-standing theaters are getting dilapidated. people prefer to go to the theaters in the mall.

It does look like the older type theatres. I haven't been to a movie for many many years---and don't think I could sit still for that long. MB

I saw this and thought of my post of our Marion Theater and realized how great minds run in the same ruts...er, channels!

I like the Roxy...that would fit well in Ocala, too. Notice, though, that our theater's doors are open! :-)

Neat! «Louis» likes these older theaters. They have character the new ones lack - though many of them have had their character remodeled out of them...

A "semi" Art Deco theatre! A most unusual design and colours framing the sign!

How wonderful that they have kept the look and not tried to modernize it! Nice shot!
