You must have been very fast to have captured the shadows in the few minutes of sunshine that we have had in Southern Ontario.

How did you manage to get just a single heart? This is a beautiful shot and should be hanging on someones wall.

You were alert to see this. When I returned from our recent camping trip and I downloaded my pics, I found I had no shadow shots. I'm sure I could of found some had I been paying attention.

Lovely shot and somehow that single heart does not seem to have a shadow of its own ;)

Once again, you've proven you're the best when it comes to shadows. I wish I could do them well, but I don't think my heart is in it! :-)

Aren't these flowers just so beautiful and intricate?
So lovely...
one of my neighbors has them in his garden. They are like a masterpiece*

Our bleeding hearts are just about done blooming, soon to depart *I wish this plant bloomed all summer). The lone pink flower stands out strikingly in the sea of green - small but mighty!

Are the shadows bleeding too? :-)

I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW

I almost lost my shadow,
I left it in the park;
I heard my mommy calling,
For it was getting dark;

She has no use for shadows,
She thinks they are quite grim,
And when she saw my shadow,
She thought it was a “him.”

I had to educate her
And tell her it was “she”—
And now my faithful shadow
Is welcome as can be!

WOW EG! that IS beautiful. You do such a great job with all of your photos. I always think about growing flowers when I see them, then it's usually too late to start them.
You've motivated me, I'm doing Marigolds this year, from plants, not seeds.

Peace

Don't you just love the old world names given to plants, the simplicity of their views...which reminds me, I must grab the hoe and get to the trenches, have a wonderful holiday!!!

Hi EG!

Beautiful bleeding heart plant and its shadow.
Not playing this week, even though I had a good shadow shot of a pink perennial (dianthus?) in my measly garden.

Had to work Saturday and didn't get around to posting. I'll try again this weekend..

Enjoy your week!

A beautiful capture of one of my favourite plants. Unfortunately they do not survive here so I can only enjoy them on a few blogs.
