Bleeding Hearts (Dicentra spectablis)
Bleeding hearts multiply like weeds in my gardens...but I still LOVE them. I have them in sun and shade, pink and also a white variety. Plus I have several less invasive cultivars with fern-like leaves. Planted in the shade they can bloom well into July.

Lovely. I love your shot.
Mine died. I guess it didn't like my garden - the vinca and sweet woodruff won out.
Great photo! I am now your newest follower.
I'm seeing bleeding hearts everywhere in blogland at the moment. What lovely weeds to have in your garden:-)
They grew wild where my grandmother grew up, and yet trying to grow them in my climate is near impossible. I just love them, and your photo is absolutely spectacular.
I love bleeding heart and lost mine years ago to a drought so it's a pleasure seeing yours.
Looking at this gorgeous shot, I can't imagine that they are so invasive! *Drool*
A picture perfect Bleeding Heart!
I like your shot better than mine:

I have the red one you show here and a white one, and relatively recently (in the last two years)they started spreading. I have transplanted them into other places because they are beautiful and hardy, and I have given a few away, but soon I will have to start weeding them out!
They do like to be moist, and suffer in hot, dry weather, though!
i love your photo...our bleeding hearts here look different. will post it next week.:p
Beautiful blooms!
My entry.
Beautiful shot of your Bleeding Hearts!
I love these things but I don't think they grow down here...but then I'm not sure...which is a pity...they are so pretty!
Beautiful shot!
You're lucky to have them so close to you. :)
EG I have so many of them too and I am still collecting different kinds .. "Valentine" is my latest .. supposed to have the most red flowers yet .. but I won't be able to tell until it feels like flowering for me?
Joy : )
Have a SUPER week !
so lovely!
Love the shot. I have the one that keeps blooming also, really goes all season into the fall here.
Beautiful little pink hearts!
Beautiful image, I love the bleeding hearts.
July? That is a long blooming season!
One of my favorites as well...these are stunning!
Pretty pink flowers.
didn't know they were called bleeding hearts.
I've tried several times to plant a Bleeding Heart in my mountain garden but have no luck. I'm not sure if it's too cold for them or if the growing season is just too short. It was one of my Mother's favorites - makes me remember her.
One of the first spring blooms!
Lovely image.
Great shot. I really like Bleeding Heart. I have/had a beautiful on called Gold Heart but I just noticed last week someone or something stepped right in the middle of it and now it is dying so I will just pull it up. The root will live and grow again. MB
I've never liked that flower, but it was my mothers favourite ;-)
Have a great week!
Beautiful flower with exquisite light, delicious pinkish tones.
Beautiful shot! I'd let these little flowers with the perfect name invade my garden, if I had a garden!
So lovely HEARTS! :)

I have a bleeding heart of a different kind... This one is gorgeous.
