Myriad shadows on concrete, Main Street, Markham, Ontario

Your mission should you choose to accept it, it to go back next Christmas after dark and take a photo.

I do love the fence and love the shadow as is, though.

It might be fun to sit there after dark if they are still turning on the lights.

Lots of stuff going on there...I'd guess this was taken in the waning hours of the afternoon...

And I almost croaked at your comment about the crow. Those critters really are pretty smart and give the lie to the insult, "birdbrain"!

Love it because there's so much variety in the shadows, some are sharp, some blurred, and they go in all different directions. A really unusual shot. (Thanks for the link, too. )

Those are stellar shadows...love how they weave in and out of each other.

You found a dizzying array of shadows!

I HAD A LITTLE SHADOW
(With apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson)

I had a little shadow
No bigger than my thumb;
I took him to the meadow
And there I gave him rum.

My drunken little shadow
Did weave and bob and pitch;
He stumbled from the meadow
And fell into a ditch!

The iron gate looks forbidding, tough to break into. The shadows, on the other hand, are light and stylish. Not at all like the wrought iron subject. The Spring sun is now almost about us, and the shadows that result are lovely, indeed!

lovely shot - fences and wrought iron are some of my favourites!!

A perfect fence for shadows, and even the little lights leave little shadows. Super!

Love cast iron "anything!"

I love that there are 'party lights' on the gate! Must be quite magical at night when they are on.

Great shot! I'd love to sit around on those benches and watch the world go by, especially now that the weather is pleasant. I love the filigree the fencing shadows make.

Peace

Rich in an artistic value. Love this photo. Even the small amount of nature's debris of broken tree limbs and grass and leaves is giving off shadows!
