Neat. I wonder what they were used for.

now that is interesting - I've certainly seen log cabins, but not a log barn. or maybe I haven't been paying attention (wouldn't surprise me)

Love all the layers of this photo, plus the weathered barn.

I've never seen a log barn. I wonder how old it is. Nice shot!

What a great barn post...My parents have a photo of my great-grandparents log barn somewhere packed away. It reminds me of the barn on the left.

Great barns, pastures/fields, flowers, sky, fence... love the whole scene/view! =)

Thanks so much EG!

Cool looking. And they really look old too.

Now you really have me curious. I have seen many, many outbuilding built form logs, but have seen no barns as yet. I think I am going to have to be more observant and try to find one. These are great...so unusual...and they are still standing in spite of time. A tad bit slanted and tilting, but nice just the same. Neat post.

We had a similar building on the 23 acre property I lived on as a teenager. It was a log cabin (with logs all the way up to the ceiling point).

Looking back, I believe it may have been the original homestead. I've always wanted to do a little research on the subject.

It was later used by other owners, and by us, as a chicken coop. If I were there now I'd turn it into an artist's studio. lol
