Vintage Car/ Shadow Shots

Shadow of wheel on side of vintage car

Every Saturday evening during the summer months, owners of vintage vehicles meet in the parking lot behind the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre.  Last Saturday, my husband and I decided to check the get-together out.

A shot of the wheel and a bit of the shadow

Owners were eager to let gawers look and photographers snap.

A shot of the entire car

That looks like a fun event with lots of photo ops.
We were to have a car show here in Lincoln earlier in the month but it was rained out. It's been rescheduled, maybe I'll get a chance for some good shots after all.

I knew it was a tire but I couldn't figure out where it was. Good shadow shot.

Magnificent! Have you ever been to the Shelburne Museum in Vermont? The cars reminded me of it. The car in your photo looks like it came out of The Great Gatsby.

Fun ShadowShots! I've grown to really enjoy the old car shows. This is a splendid car. Really like the colors!

(Your first SS looks like a tv dish overlooking a cross.) Have a great weekend.

What interesting captures, the wheel spokes really stand out against the body work of the car.

Thanks for dropping by!

Your photos looks so awesome. I like the colour combo. White, red, black! That's my fave colours.

Absolutely perfect photos to share with us.

TY for sharing,

Happy SSS...

Ah, old cars. hat's not t like? These wire wheels in red are bold and I really like that combination of soft earth tones that cover the body. On a sunny dat, the details like the spokes are enhanced even more in shadow. Fabulous styling - unlike today's efficiently styled cars, there is more soul and style in the 1930s. Wonderful captures!

Your first shot seemed to say R.I.P. and then you shower us the restored article which had regained new life, like Lazarus. Nice touch.

Your vintage wheel and spoke shadow is awesome. And then to get to see the either vehicle in its pristine condition is a real treat. I love these type car get togethers where I can walk up and down the street oohing and ahhing over them. What a special treat for the eyes. Love your photos this week.

Wow and WOW EG... Shadows are great, sure, but that car is awesome! I chose to do my thing with motorcycles, but my reverence for automobiles is still strong. Love the summer car drive-throughs and displays. Good shots!
