The shade is a very calming red, it's vibrant but not too bright.

Beautiful weigelia. I have a variety of that but mine didn't do very well this year. I think it was cold to long and hot to soon without much in between. Mine usually blooms in our climate in the early spring and the blooms are gone by the time it gets hot. We had some late hard freezes but it got very hot after that which I think confused the weigelia.

Hmmmm. That's what a hummingbird said when he saw the red and the juicy core awaiting his pleasure!

And no, I don't think men's hats are coming back into fashion. I'm not sure that place has sold a hat in five years! :-)
