I have a feeling that a barn like that in this country would be snapped up, 'renovated' and sold at an inflated price. Barn conversions have been big business here for years.
Jabblog, we wish! Of course where I live most of them are in very isolated areas, no electricity, no running water and smack dab in the middle of some farmer's pastureland! Actually, this one with its walls still standing looks to be in pretty good shape. It will last a few more years. Oh, but I forget your harsh winters!
Lots of these old relics around...a good storm might finish this one off, but the actual structure is probably rather solid. "They" built things better in those days!
oh but I could find a use for that wood. I was just at a place that makes furniture out of old reclaimed wood - it is quite expensive, but so very lovely.
Been there.....seen it....that is here in Rockbridge County...and if we don’t repair the hole in our tin roof, ours will be among these. I adore the old ones like this. Without our photos there would be no documentation as they fall to Mother Earth. This shot is wonderful. G
Yep, it appears that way, so now it's just gonna sit & rot... it's sad, but I guess I'd rather the barns be left standing than the owners destroy them.
Is it 'fenced' off or is the fence to keep animals in the fence? It looks like an electric one, but I'm no expert. It's too bad they've let this go--it certainly looks like it's given its all! :>)
Name change: Originally, I started this blog to show the world what a wow place East Gwillimbury is. But I have wandered well beyond EG's borders! EG is still in my name as I am still based there. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

There are many like this one around. At least it's roped off.
Oh yeah.. falling apart, but still so charming! :)

It's sad when they are falling apart like that but still I love the weathered wood and rusted roof.
Charming is the right word for it! My grandmother would have said that it is coming from together...
A very handsome bar, it certainly looks recyclable!
Oh, would so love to salvage all that beautiful wood!
Still beautiful to me!

That is curious that it is roped off...
It's a cute little barn, even in this condition!
Sweet little barn. MB
That's pretty worn out barn. I think it's time for this barn to retire for good ^_^

Great find, EG, thanks so much for joining =)
Sad but still full of "charm".

It has definitely seen better days, but that just makes me like it more!
Barns have so much charm...especially this one!
One of those sad little buildings, but I'm glad you managed to photograph it before it's completely gone.
