False sunflower (Heliopsis 'Prairie Sunset')
I like the red eye of this long-blooming Heliopsis - now through September if I cut off the spent blossoms. It grows in a sunny, sandy spot in my garden.

Wonderful photography.
Regards!
I dunno. I feel sort of cheated. A "false" sunflower? My goodness, there are so many false things in our world, so many fakes walking our streets, can't we at least have a "real" sunflower? Please?
I was just faking - it's beautiful!
It's lovely. My kind of flower!
I would see how some people would think it's a sunflower. I was surprised at how many people thought black-eyed Susans were sunflowers. Probably a member of the daisy family?? You're the flower expert!
A very special photo, such a beautiful flower, sunny and light, just love it. Thank you so much for sharing and have a great week.
I had no idea there were a False sunflower. Nice to see it.
Truly the picture of summer!
Beautiful capture.
Beautiful flower and so nice it lasts for so long!
I love the red eye in this beautiful flower.
Even if it's false it's beautiful :)
Wonderfull, full of love and light! :)
I had about given up trying to find a name for this little beauty! My book says there are 20 species of sunflowers, and now you are telling me there are false sunflowers as well...
Awesome composition! The great blurred background makes the yellow pop.
