Menu Stand/ Shadow shot

Shadow of wrought iron stand

This stand  is outside a season fast-food restaurant, Lewiston, New York, U.S.A.

Longer view of stand

Fish eye effect

Playing around digitally. I thought you might like to see the stand and shadow modified in Photoshop Elements - just for fun.

Hi EG, I'm a new visitor dropping in from Lois' blog (Fron Lois' Hands) and also a fellow photographer and blogger. I checked out some previous posts and enjoyed your photo work. Please do feel free to pay a visit to our blog spot, which includes my photos and other ramblings. I am also plannint on setting up a separate photo blog if I can make myself sit down and work on it!

It's surprising how cropping will change what a photo radiates to the viewer. The first photo seems to have more to say when you move the camera in tight for the final shot.

That's a really good shadow shot.

You have such a good attitude about shadows. I just always view them as an impediment to my photography! I guess I'm too busy looking at back doors and fences to take time to see the beautiful shadows!

A well-wrought shadow!

Wrought iron does produce the most lovely shadows - great shots as usual!

The wrought iron allows for stunning shadows. That is such a classy menu holder, it seems odd to see it at a fast food place - I picture it at a French bistro or Italian trattoria, a tad more classy or upscale. Yet, a shadow like this is wonderful, no matter the cuisine!
