Greetings from the Amish community of Lebanon Pennsylvania. I'm just stopping at Radom blogs and checking them out, and wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and New years. Richard from Amish Stories.
After living in South Florida for over 20 years and never seeing a chimney (there are some down that away, though), we moved to Ocala to a house with a fireplace and had to hire a chimney sweep. I didn't even know such persons existed!
When we heated with wood stoves, we had the nicer chimney sweep. The tragedy he had seen diagnosed with cancer because of all the creosote he had been inhaling. We also have a lumber mill here where they use creosote on the boards....many from there have contracted cancer. Being around it is so very dangerous. The sigh I love, but I am concerned for the health of the workers. genie
Name change: Originally, I started this blog to show the world what a wow place East Gwillimbury is. But I have wandered well beyond EG's borders! EG is still in my name as I am still based there. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

What a fantastic sign! My chimney blocked up by the previous owner..
We don't have a fireplace. Santa comes through our front door. ;)
Nice sign!
Great, I wonder if he only cleans mountain top chimneys. :)
The last time I climbed on my roof, I felt like I WAS on a mountain top! I can't imagine doing it full time (i.e. chimney sweeps and/or Santa!)
I thought Dick Van Dyke retired! Ha ha! Nice catch!

Good capture. Some of those fonts used in signs are ...interesting.
this sign appeals to me a lot.
Now that's a sign with a creative twist! Large and eye-catching!
I'm sure this is a very important job...for someone else.

hahahhaha...wish we had a chimney too!
That is an odd looking chimney. But, really what is a cabin on a mountain top without one?!
Awesome sign.
