Day is done...
Gone (almost) the sun! And just like the day in the photo, the year 2011 is coming to it's END. (Except of course in out memories and in our photos.)

I love that moment in the sunset when the light is almost gone. It's quite dark on the ground but there's still light in the sky that looks as though it will last forever - wonderful.
I've been enjoying your sundown photos and am curious as to what time of day this occurs where you live. It is like 5pm here on the west coast.

You captured a couple of stunning sunset images to mark the end of 2011.
It's hard for me to realize that it's been 11 years already since the new millennium! What a big deal that seemed to some at the time!
But it turned out, as my granddaughter says, to be "pish posh, applesauce"!
And may the New Year hold only good things for us all!
