Imbalance/ My Town Shoot Out

 Learning to skate isn't easy!

This week's My Town Shoot Out challemge: IMBALANCE

 Nope, not easy at all!

These photos wer taken LAST year in January. We don't have any ice here yet.

And sometimes getting back back up isn't easy either

Imbalanced photo

And some photos illustrate imbalance too!

Thank you for these photos. They made me very nostalgic. I did a lot of skating on ponds and rinks when a kid and had a blast. Sometimes I didn't even mind the cold. Then we moved from Minnesota to California in mid-winter. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Forgot all about ice-skating for a number of years. I have done a bit of roller-blading, though. Even at my advanced age. :-)

These are good illustrations for imbalance. And don't worry about not having ice yet. I'm sure it will be there all too soon!

never had the opportunity to skate....but I am sure imbalance would be putting it mildly/ha

Oh, thank goodness you said it was last year - I thought I'd missed something (sitting in my balmy southern Burlington warmth!)

I've tried both and will choose roller skates over ice skates any day. A lot warmer.

You had enough solid ice to skate by Jan. 2011. Wonder if that will happen this year? I love the corn stalks just off the ice!

Never could ice skate but admire those who can or at least try!

I would have loved to had a chance to learn to ice skate...Tennessee didn't get that cold for very long at all...probably not even every year. Then, when I moved to Indian it never crossed my mind...

The skating rinks downtown have opened up. I passed by yesterday and it reminded me I need to buy a pair of skates. Or perhaps Santa will bring me some! :)

I loved ice skating when I was a kid. Nice photos! The barn pic in last post is awesome.

I don't even know how to balance myself on a skate or a bicycle!

Omigosh, brilliant. I just took a whole bunch of pics of little nephews learning to play hockey but I didn't think to use them for this!

I think if ever I tried that I'd be a good example of imbalance. Love the last shot!

I never really learned how to stay on my feet neither on skates nor skis. I should probably live in a different climate!

The last one is definately not balanced. Once I was in Windsor, I was in a blizzard, and I fell so many times.

For years, people have been telling «Louis» that he's imbalanced!
