Metallic BUTTONS
Part of a button collection my grandmother passed down to me and I have added to over the years. Nothing worth BIG BUCKS here...just fun. What is it about buttons that makes so many people want to collect them?

What a lovely collage. I have a button box and some of the buttons bring back such memories.
this is amazing! i never thought of buttons as a collection.:p i grew up with buttons all over the house because my grandmother was a dressmaker then my aunt had her own dress shop. now i wonder where my grandmother's buttons are.:p

Each button are individual works of art; I think that's what intrigues people. Great collage of intricate buttons! Which reminds me that I need to sew two buttons on my native coat!

I didn't know people collected them...but now that you mention it I think a lot of people do. I know my mom cut them off clothes that were no longer useful to have to use for something else.

Boy, you've got me. I have never once in my life had an urge to collect buttons. I had a little Cairn Terrier once that I loved and his name was "Buttons." Does that count? :-)
Very neat! Buttons can be fascinating. You have some nice specimens.
Pretty selection. I inherited my Mother's button box, the sound of searching through it always brings back memories of her looking for that right button.

Buttons are such beautiful, tiny pieces of art. At least some are. I wish I still had that old jar of buttons my mother had, though I have no idea if any of them were collectable or just plain.
An exquisite collection of buttons (she said enviously). What photo software did you construct your collage in? I've been an ardent user of Picnik (where I've made my collages) and they announced they are shutting down in April. Boo. Bummer.
