Only in Canada, eh.

Can't help but wonder what fool would be out there in a car in the first place. And what did Andy mean, with his "Only in Canada" remark? We have crazies here, too, ya know!

Great photos! My sister and her hubby used to pastor the Free Methodist church there.

Doesn't look like a hospitable place to walk or park! Icy!

I'm sure I wouldn't have needed a sign to keep me off of there!

Boy it looks cold and nasty!

One of those times when the only word that will do is "duhhhh"

Just shows that no tower is foolish enough to take you away from such a dangerous area! That's danger! Those long icicles on the sign are amazing!

Love that maple leaf! If the sign is posted, you know someone has attempted to go out there. Reminds me of some similar images I have in archives from southern Lake Michigan last winter.

Secondary comment - I would sure love to take photo editing tutorials from you! :-)

stay away in wintertime i think it says.

That sign should say, "Enter if you dare!" Or "You'd be nucking futs if you walk here!"

I DO love the lighthouse with the maple leaves!

Julie said...

Yeah, well down here we don't do THAT to our decks - cover them with ice!

Wow! Pretty risky even walking on that!

Rose said...

I can just see me trying to walk there!!!hehe

I am just watching the news from Seattle and they are having a major storm (and the storm watch is pre-emting Ellen, sigh) so this fits right in with the theme of the hour. haven't seen anything like this around this end of Lake Ontario, though.

I bet the surface is nice and smooth now! If that were the US, there would be a long list of "Do Not's" including "Do Not walk on the pier when ice is present". Duh.

Great sign!

I think I would be more worried about slipping on the ice.

VioletSky said...

I wonder if even the tow trucks would venture down that pier to take away your unattended vehicle!

Great signs, but some things just seem silly. I mean who is going to think of parking where there are sheets of ice and huge icicles. :>

Not a safe place to park or even drive by. Too close to the waters.

Dianne said...

I love the beauty of the ice

Would like to see a car even try to go down there. Ice on the coast-quite something ;-)
