I wanted to check out the beaver, but I had a sprained ankle so decided the not-maintained trail might be way too risky...this time. Yep, I want to go back!
So strange to see signs almost in overlap mode! Maybe the implication is that one is just as important as the other! So strange to see a beaver sign like this! For a sign to be made about beaver, the beaver's work must have been developing over some time!
So how'd you sprain your ankle? Prob'ly slipped on SNOW! Yes?
It's a good thing you didn't take a hike on this trail as you would no doubt have seen a beaver, become so excited you'd a dropped yer camera and then you'd a took a pitcher of the sky as your body hit the ground.
Do the beavers cause the flooding, or are they a hazard by themselves? Do they jump out and trip you? Do they attack? Is the maintenance crew afraid of the beavers? Is that why they don't maintain it in winter? The possible interpretations here seem multiple...
I just asked my hiker husband if he had ever seen a sign like the beaver one, and he said he had seen one in New Jersey. Those guys can really do heavy work. genie
21 friends stopped by to say:
I would love for you to go back, cause that means we get to see some great photos. Sorry to hear you sprained your ankle, I hope it is feeling better.
Those pesky beavers causing all that flooding! :)
Of course you will go back EG! Take care of that ankle!
Where was this? I want to see a beaver too! :)
Ya just can't trust those beavers and should always apply caution when using one. Great sign. Hope you are able to make it back and walk the trail.
This makes me giggle--don't know why.
That's either one hefty beaver, or perhaps they meant the beaver's construction. :-)
Not a sign you see everyday.
yeah, always blame the beaver (singular??)

"Leave it to Beaver," as they say! Great find. Hope your ankle mends quickly.
So, the beaver do give a dam.

Oh yeah, you need to wait until your ankle's well -- and maybe until summer -- pretty scary combo of signs ;>)

Hope your ankle improves soon.
Does this mean the beavers don't maintain the trail in winter?
beavers cause the flooding???
i hope your ankle heals soon.
I am curious, could there be anything written after risk in the first sign?
Heal fast!
