Last week at Kirkfield, Ontario
Would you believe that between May and October boats cross this bridge on a regular basis?
It's true. It sure looks weird to see a boat go over when a car is going under! But this time of year, all is quiet. This is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway, a shortcut for boats across central Ontario between Lakes Ontario and Huron.

I think it would be worth the trip out there just to this phenomenon!
That will surely be an unique sight.
Great info.
This is great!
Interesting! I would love to see some shots of boats going by, but I guess it's going to be a long wait. lol
WOW! What a unique bridge!
«Louis» thanks you for this fine contribution to his 100th Sunday Bridge Series post!
I drove all the way to Welland to get the bridges on the shortcut from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie, so perhaps, I should make the trip up to the Trent/Severn to see the other shortcut from L Ontario to L Huron! I remember you posting this before and thinking it was pretty innovative.
great shot! :)
It must be really awkward to see boats crossing over the cars... Will you show us? :)
Have you heard of this one? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magdeburg_Water_Bridge
God bless you!

I've seen a lot of interesting ways to move boats on the Trent Waterway. Thanks to you I can add one more.
It would be neat to watch the boats cross over while a car is underneath the bridge. Very interesting. Happy Sunday!
I have a hard time even figuring this one out! We have tunnels here that go under the water so boats can go over...can't imagine a bridge! Very interesting!
That must be a very interesting sight. You must feel that the world is a bit upside-down :-)
Pretty interesting.
It's Great. Test Paper
Interesting!
Nice shot.
Regards and best wishes
