No whistling/Signs, Signs

Brighton, Ontario

I was tempted to whistle "I've been working on the railroad" but I was afraid the whistling police might hear me.

Canadian National heading westerly

Then a few seconds later - I probably shouldn't tattle - but this train DID whistle two short blasts just before it entered this intersection.

Here I'm pretty sure that trains are required to whistle before entering any crossing.

Lol. I can see why the engineer whistled. How could he read the sign when it's pointed in that direction??

I like what you've done with this blog. The sign makes me think of some bureaucrat sitting in a big government building who couldn't quite come up with the right wording for a sign. He was probably whistling while he was working.

Funny!

My, it is getting to where a person can't do anything anymore without it being illegal.

I laughed out loud at this! I can just picture you whistling...watching for the authorities! Funny sign too...the whistle is a warning that they are on the way...I would think that was a good thing!

Good to know it's coming at a crossing! Glad you aren't in railroad jail, tho.

I have never seen a sign like this, why "no whistling" I wonder.

If I ever see a train with nice legs I'll do the wolf whistle.

Very curious - what is nearby that the authorities do not want the train to sound its whistle?

Good post, I'm listening for train whistles at the intersections. I do think it is required here. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a message.

I remember a few years ago there was some controversy over the train whistles in Waterdown, but I like hearing it.

You make me giggle...I've been working on the railroad...haha

Trains our way always give some kind of blast before a rail road crossing! Wish it was a whistle! Far more pleasant! A most unusual sign!
