The Yamaha casts strong shadows with those wheel spokes! Striking! And I too have always found it strange that Yamaha, the big piano company, expanded out into a subsidiary company of bikes and boats!
Everybody knows that Yamaha makes motorcycles - most that I know were unaware the company also made pianos...the tires, spokes, mirrors and handlebar make for a really sporty set of shadows too. Fabulous captures!
I too am among those who knew Yamaha made motorcycles and didn't know they made pianos ... makes for interesting conversation. The shadows are great. It has been raining and cold here so not many shadow shots. I'll have to dig one up from another time.
These are wonderful captures. They make me think of what I was just out photographing...Buddy and I are at Virginia Military Institute for a walk and came upon a canon and the most fabulous shadows like these. I took gobs of photos and will us them next week. Hope you notice then what I am talking about. The leaf shadows going up the side of the house are so nice. genie
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

How can I be sure this is a Yamaha shadow? Yamaha makes pianos, but this doesn't look like a piano. Perhaps you're just pulling my strings?
Are Yamaha shadows different than other shadows?
Only the Shadow knows!
COOL shadows!!
I never seem to have my camera with me when I see good shadow shots...these are great!...:)JP

These are fun! I saw a Harley shadow the other day, but it wasn't quite SSS2-worthy.

The shadow is perhaps more interesting that the object.
Fun shadow shots for the day! I love how the same subject can cast so many different shadows! Terrific!

Three good days to ride! Great shadows.
Here's a conundrum: Can a Yamaha outrun its shadow?

I particularly like shot 2 where a plant appears to be riding a bike!
An interesting series of wheely shadow shots!
Oh, boy, those Yamaha shadow shots are way too cool!
Some sharp crisp shadows here...
I love the way the wheels look
in the second shot the bike seems to be knocking on the door :)
Awesome wheel shots!
