Olcott/ Friday Fences

Stone wall and stairway, Olcott, New York

This fancy stone wall and walkway is what was once a fancy-schmancy hotel that burned many years ago.

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

Sad about the fancy-schmancy hotel, but I do love the stone wall and stairway! I'll bet that was some place in its day right on the water.

This puts me in mind of Robert Frost, "something there is that doesn't love a wall".
This wall though, looks like it will last a very long time.

Amazing shot! Looks to me like the trees are growing right up out of the wall;)
